Easter (part 2) "Egg Hunt"

Easter Sunday 2008 after E.B. visited our house we went to an Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Dady's. The eggs were scattered outside the yard when we got there and the smaller children went first. Aurora had just woken up a minute before and refused to pick up any but I helped her to pick up a couple. Then the older kids came out and they had a lot of fun finding the eggs.

Here is Aurora in high heels (which she was for most of the event).

She kept those heels on and she climbed right up to the slide in them!

Easter Weekend!

Easter Bunny dropped off a basket full of goodies and a nice long letter for the girls. :)

Maria and I went on Test Track (Maria's favorite) and for the second time on Mission Space. She wanted to go on the movement one but I thought it would be a good idea to wait a little bit more.

Aurora surprised me with her determination and strength. She watched her sister climb up the rope wall and did it herself too! All the way to the top :)

Easter Bunny came and went, here are a few pictures to share with everyone.

We are getting into the good Florida weather season, right before it is too hot and just after it is too cold. So we are visiting the park every time we can. Yesterday we went while Maria was at school and I got to see how Aurora has grown, all the new things she can do, it was really a treat of a morning. Is it me or is she getting a bit big for the bucket style swing???

Maria on the other hand was a big ham as usual! She loves posing for pics :)

Finally after battling endless viruses (cold or flu?) we seem to
be getting back in the game. We ventured out today to take the yearly
Easter Bunny photos. Aurora was in a very nasty mood and I was not sure if
she was even going to want to take any pictures but in the end we got a couple
of great shots which is really all we need.

Normaility in the horizon?

We've been battling sore throats and what not... hopefully tomorrow Maria will be feeling good enough to go to school or at least to they gym in the afternoon!

Today she said she didn't want to go to school again until she "is 29 yrs old"!!!

I guess she likes staying at home and playing!

Aurora is talking a LOT! I need to remember the funny things she has been saying. Her favorite phrases as of now are

"oh NO!" & "Papi did it" or "Hannah did it" or "I'm stuck" and her new favorite seems to be

"I don't want it THANKS" and her very favorite "oh no... Hannah is crying" then she goes over to console Maria. She also has a whole bunch of favorite "Dora the Explorer" episodes... and I have to guess which one it is when she said "I want Dora paint" or "I want Dora Fish". Luckily I have Maria who translates to me which episodes she is talking about. The funniest thing happened yesterday when I was getting stuff ready for the Spring garage sale... I came back to check on Maria and Aurora and they were both sitting at the computer and they had found the Dora Spy episode which they had been waiting for forever! apparently they are playing it on the Nick Jr. Website. I asked them what they were doing and Aurora said "Dora Spy... there it is!"

I wonder what things the dynamic duo will come up with in the years to come!

Bugs and more bugs!

Aurora was sick last week and Maria is sick this week

and we all have sore throats so no blog until we get better ;)

Here is a picture of Maria from last week taking a long bubble bath when she was feeling better and another of the two sisters lying together. They are playing together a lot lately! Could be because we've been together 24/7 for the past 5 days!!!
